Hurricane Michael Relief
Having our Gulf Coast Regional office so close to areas impacted by Hurricane Michael has been a true eyeopener. Luckily our staff we’re truly blessed to return home after a mandatory evacuation to very minimal damage to their homes. The communities that took the brunt of the impact are only 30-60 miles from our offices.
Our staff, especially our Director of Health and Safety, Ansley Wolfe, teamed up with a group of friends and began gathering and delivering supplies to those hard-hit areas. The reality of the destruction was so enormous, they quickly began cooking and delivering hot meals, cutting down trees and tarping roofs. When asked about her experience volunteering, Ansley said “The incredible loss these people and communities are experiencing is astronomical but knowing that we can bring smiles to their faces, laugh with them, hug them and provide them with the supplies needed to survive that they possibly would never have received before it was too late could not be more fulfilling. My heart is exploding!”
Thank you to Ansley and her friends for seeing a need in the local community and delivering!
The other TEA offices have started collecting supplies to deliver to Ansley and group of volunteers.
